Tate Belfanti is a 2027 LHP/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Long Beach, CA who attends Cypress. Primary left-handed pitcher with a medium frame and lean build. Lived in lower part of the zone with fastball constantly 14-16 VB and 10/11" of HB. Repeats the delivery with feel for the lower zone quadrants. Featured a changeup with 1100 RPM spin rate with subtle sink action and spun a 14" horizontal slider with tight spin at 66 mph. Three-pitch mix around the zone that plays well off the fastball into the mid-80s (2325 RPM). Flashed a curveball at 64 mph from his 3/4 arm slot release with 15" of vertical break. Solid mix of pitches that play up when he consistently gets to extension out front with feel for the zone. Secondary outfielder that recorded a 7.39 second 60-yard dash time. Worked through the ball with one-hand gather to exchange. Inline momentum on throws to the bases at 86 mph. Projectable lean frame to add size and strength moving forward. Right-handed hitter with an extra wide base and high hands setup in the box. Short stride into contact with consistent feel for the barrel to the pull side. Controls the barrel through the zone and with added strength projects well for increased impact out front. Good student.
