Landry Garner is a 2029 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-3 240 lb. frame from Lebanon, OH who attends Waynesville. Recorded a 8.85 second sixty yard dash time. Extra large frame with strength present. Primary first baseman that fields with two-hands to the mid-body and funnels well and accurate across. Harder glove. Also threw a bullpen. The right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the middle-of-the-rubber into a belt-high leg lift and a short stride down the slope with tall-and-fall mechanics. The hands start at the letters and work up to the chin before a compact takeaway and keeps the ball at the chin before accelerating through from an over-the-top arm angle. The low-60s fastball (1737 RPM) reached up to 63 with some arm-side sink. Paired it with a mid-50s curveball (1667 RPM) with 12-6 shape and gradual break and a change-up (1205 RPM) that kills spin well with some cut when thrown glove-side. Can get into the lower half more to drive down the mound and create some more arm speed with more velocity in the tank. Right-handed hitter starts from a wide base with square feet and a high back elbow and a high handset, utilizes a leg lift trigger. Handsy swing with a slightly uphill bat plane and a pull-side heavy approach with some strength at contact. Power in the frame with developing feel for the barrel and for the lower half. Intriguing player with some upside.
