2026 PG Virginia Indoor Showcase
Sean Roddy is a 2029 C/RHP/UT with a 5-8, 140 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Grassfield High School. He is an athletic, high-energy player with a strong arm and intriguing two-way upside. On the mound, he works from a full windup with quick arm speed and a high three-quarter slot. He ran his fastball up to 82 mph and shows solid life. The curveball stands out with impressive spin and sharp potential, and he shows the ability to create movement across his arsenal. As he continues to add strength, there is clear upside on the mound. Defensively, his arm strength plays at every position. In the outfield and infield, he moves well, shows good footwork, and makes strong, accurate throws. Behind the plate, he has quick transfers, gets out of the crouch well, and throws with carry and accuracy. His versatility and arm talent are major strengths. At the plate, Roddy looks most comfortable from the right side. He starts slightly open with good hand position and shows feel for the barrel with the ability to work through the middle of the field. Good student. Named to the 2026 PG Virginia Showcase Top Prospect List.
