Kupono Barkdull is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Kaneohe, HI who attends Kamehameha Schools. Extra large and physical build with lots of present strength. Works from a big rocker step start with a high leg raise above the belt, high 3/4's arm action with some arm speed, stays balanced very well and repeats his mechanics with maturity. Fastball was steady in the 82-84 mph range with good arm side run, created swing/miss with his fastball. Change up was a nice pitch he sold well with ideal arm speed, landed his curveball consistently with some depth and got some strikeouts on this pitch. Efficient and impressive outing. Left handed hitter, has talent on this side of the ball due to his strength and bat speed, sets up in a wider base with and pulls the ball hard. 7.48 runner in the sixty. Has good athleticism at first base on defense with active feet and lots of arm strength. Also plays the outfield. Good student. Named to the PG Hawaii National Showcase Qualifier Top Prospect List.
