Cody Pelton is a 2027 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Silver Spring, MD who attends St. Johns College. Larger build with well-proportioned strength present and plenty of projection remaining. Primary third baseman, stays low and a bit hunched as he works through the baseball. Displayed developing footwork and athleticism in the dirt. Has some lateral range to both sides with softness in the hands. Releases the ball from a lower slot. Recorded arm strength up to 72 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher, worked from the stretch with a coiled leg lift. Creates good extension into a three-quarters release as he works downhill. Fastball showed some arm-side run, ultimately peaking at 75 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 curveball with good depth to it. Right-handed hitter, starts in an open stance with loose hands and a high back elbow. Utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing before working into a flatter bat path. Syncs up his load well and attempts to create leverage out in front. Loses his lower-half at times and gets slashy at the baseball. Displayed developing feel for the barrel with some evident strength when timed up. Projects for more power with future mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. Ran a 7.82 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student.
