2024 High School All State Select Championship (2027-2028 Grads)
Casey Prieto is a 2027 RHP/C with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Paso Robles, CA who attends Paso Robles. Recorded a 7.25 second sixty yard dash time. Smaller, athletic frame. The right-handed pitcher works from a side-step into a hip-high knee-lift with a slow build but quick into rotation with a smaller stride that lands on-line. Simple operation with a compact arm action. Higher three- quarter arm slot. Worked the fastball (1883 RPM) east-west at 83-87 and wasn't afraid to run the fastball in on right-handed hitters. Showed the ability to get swing and miss with the curveball (2368 RPM) and showed a lot of confidence with the pitch. Also showed a slider (2576 RPM) in his second inning that was real sharp with depth to get consistent swing and miss. Right-handed hitter starts from a narrow base and upright stance, utilizes a medium sized leg lift and strides into contact to widen out. Some rhythm in the box and gets into the lower half well. Leverages hard with big-time power upside almost leaving the yard to the deepest part of the park. Creates space in the swing with big barrel whip through the zone. Outstanding student. Named to the High School All-State Select Championship Top Prospect List.
