Amir Hopkins is a 2029 OF/RHP with a 6-1 174 lb. frame from Chesapeake, VA who attends Western Branch. Tall, lean projectbale frame. Primary outfielder that moves through the ball well. Glove can get down late at times but secured each ball cleanly. Gathers into long flowing arm action that produces very solid carrying accuracy for the age. Switch hitter, medium base, high hands and slightly open stance from both sides. Level path to the swing with solid intent behind it. Flashed solid gap power from the left-side. From the right side, he was on the barrel plenty but loses a bit of pop from the longer stride into launch. Stand out round of batting practice. On the mound, it's a very clean operation with medium stroke to a three-quarters release. Drives the fastball downhill to the glove and can beat hitters up the ladder with it. Breaing ball has slurvy shape. Executes both offering very well for the age. 7.43 60-yard. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
