Colton Richardson is a 2028 RHP/SS with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Bloomfield Township, MI who attends Cranbrook Schools. Larger athletic build with some strength present and more to project for. 7.35 runner in the sixty. Primary right-handed pitcher, operates from a full wind-up delivery with a coiled leg lift up to the midsection. Separates into a medium arm path before accelerating into a high arm slot. Fastball came out of the hand well, living at the bottom of the strike zone while ultimately peaking at 82 mph. Mixed in a softer 11-5 curveball with average depth to it. Induced weak contact and empty swings from both offerings. Secondary shortstop, gets a good first step on the baseball and works through it well. Displayed smooth glove actions with some feel to adjust the mitt on the run. Has some lateral range and agility in the dirt. Delivered accurate throws across the diamond with arm strength up to 78 mph. Right-handed batter, starts in a wide, open stance with a low and tight hand set-up. Utilizes a smaller leg lift trigger for timing before working into a direct bat path. Struggles to create separation and tends to get stuck on his back-side. Produced fly ball contact to the pull-side and middle of the field during batting practice. Projects for more power with additional strength and mechanical refinement. Posted an exit velocity of 84 mph. Great student.
