Patrick Clyburn is a 2027 C/RHP/1B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Taylorsville, NC who attends Alexander Central. Strong young build, especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a comfortable hand load, short toe tap trigger, has a short hand path and stays inside the ball consistently, can get too inside pitches he could drive up the middle, has some strength and quickness in his hands the gives him some projection as a hitter as he gets more repetitions and learns to adjust to different pitches. 8.45 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, has good hands receiving the ball, still developing his footwork throwing, can anticipate better. Also played some corner infield. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a low effort delivery, gets good movement on a mid-60's fastball from a 3/4's arm slot, threw strikes and challenged hitters.
