Rudy Gomez is a 2027 C/1B, 3B, OF with a 5-7 145 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Grossmont. Features a smaller compact frame. Ran a 8.51 60-yd dash. Behind the plate, he set up in a taller side saddle during throwdowns. Showed a quick/compact exchange that led to a shorter arm action that got off throws with avg. strength to 2B. At the plate, he sits in a wider set up. Mild sway into his backside with a smaller forward stride that lands with balance that maintains throughout the swing. His hands loaded up slightly that then worked on a steeper path to start the round that produced opposite field GBs, but flattened it out later in his round producing some LDs to the middle of the field. Showed avg. bat speed with flashes of developing gap power.
