Jaedin Swain is a 2027 3B/RHP, 1B, OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Geneseo, IL who attends Assumption. Large, square shouldered frame with long limbs and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran an 8.24 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, fields the ball out front, clean funnel moving into release, shorter steps on the move, shows some carry on throws across the diamond. Full arm stroke on throws from the outfield, longer gather moving into release, ball comes out of hand with some carry to the intended base. Also pitched, begins with a leg lift up to the belt, some drop and drive lower half mechanics coming down and gets into backside well; works to a high three-quarters release point, fastball topped out at 74 mph and showed late life to it the zone. Curveball shows 12-6 shape with depth and lots of downer shape, spun it well and with confidence. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high back elbow at the plate. Balance in swing, best contact when getting extended out front. Keeps hands inside the baseball, comfort working to the pull side but can work to all fields. Very good student.
