Matthew Baczor is a 2027 OF/RHP/UT with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Parlin, NJ who attends St. John Vianney. Baczor worked from a range of defensive spots over the course of his event, starting as a primary OF displaying sound buildup footwork with good carry behind throws up to 79 mph. Took direct routes to the baseball with overall athletic actions displayed. From the IF, topped out at 82 mph across the diamond with good feel for internal clock. On the mound, displayed a slower, controlled operation with solid spin profile in the arsenal. FB touched 79 mph with good velocity ceiling for future. Evident depth to breaker at 2250 rpm. Behind the plate, showcased good bounce out of the set with quick compact actions. Consistently put throws on the correct side of the bag. Offensively, started from a wider base with a compact hand set and high back elbow. Quick leg lift trigger into impact with intent to generate impact out in front. Flashed strength in the hands, posted an exit velo of 78 mph. Ran a 7.55 sixty yard dash. Good student. Named to Top Prospect List.
