Jackson Carpen is a 2029 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Naperville, IL who attends Benet Academy. Long and lean young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, has athletic actions to the ball, good glove work with quick hands, feet work well, made accurate throws from a clean arm action. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance, is short to the ball with some length through contact, has some young bat speed and ability to impact the ball, mostly up the middle contact, simple load and approach enabled him to be consistent. Took a turn on the mound, works exclusively from the stretch with simple and repeatable mechanics and a compact 3/4's arm action. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with some running life. Threw mostly fastball, mixed in a couple of sinking change ups, stays low in the zone and induced soft contact. Excellent student. Named to the PG 14U Great Lakes All-State Games Top Prospect List.
