Garrett Church is a 2026 RHP/1B, 3B, SS, OF with a 6-2 186 lb. frame from Goreville, IL who attends Goreville. Church ran a 7.79 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary right handed pitcher with a long lengthy athletic frame with more room additional strength. Starting with a tight drop step into a mid to hip height leg lift. Staying compact through the back side with the arm stroke coming into a mid 3/4s slot with some quickness in the shoulder. Working with a high 70s to low 80s fastball which peaked at 81mph with some run through the zone he showed good command to both sides for he plate. He mixed in a tighter spinning breaking ball and a CH with late fade that tunneled the fastball well. Secondary middle infield stays back on the ball fielding in with two hands in front with a quick and clean glove to hand exchange. Coming from a lower slot across the diamond with accuracy to first. In the outfield he attacks the ball off to the side with a straight over the top arm action and accuracy to the bases. Right handed hitter starts with a wider even foot base with a slight toe tap trigger into a simple rock back load. Longer loose swing path through the zone with the hands going direct to the ball working a line drive approach to the pull side. Garrett is an excellent student in the classroom.
