Cooper Marks is a 2027 2B/RHP/C with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Elon, NC who attends Western Alamance. Recorded a 7.04 second sixty yard dash time. Wiry, slender frame. Primary second baseman with a shorter arm action with solid movements on the backhand with better footwork. In a correct fielding position. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a up-tempo delivery and moderate extension down the slope. Clean stroke with a three- quarter arm slot that produces arm-side run. Attacking the zone early and often with the fastball (1989 RPM) that was 72-74. Repeats well with flashes of arm speed. Maintains posture through release. Comes out well and mixed in a curveball (1893 RPM) that has shorter 11-5 action and forced weak contact throughout with the command of the fastball. Switch-handed hitter starts from a medium base with a hands-driven swing. Level swing plane with simple operation and line drive oriented contact. Through the middle-of-the-field approach from the right side. From the left side uses a mirrored set up with more feel for the barrel and spraying line drives with intent. Intriguing player with good upside. Great student.
