Travis Maxwell is a 2024 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends El Dorado. Features a medium sized frame with some present lean strength. Ran a 7.51 60-y dash. In the INF, he showed proper footwork with avg. quickness. Exhibited softness to the hands that display low and out front early where he sets himself into good posture. Uses a loose/full arm swing on throws running it up to 87 across. At the plate, he sits in a wider stance with active hands. Uses a deeper leg lift load as the hands pop back into a slight arm bar and lands with balance. Works the barrel on a slight uphill path with some present batspeed and quality strength at impact when barreled. Post impact results were more gap-gap throughout his round. On the mound, showed a fluid delivery where he side steps into a mid chest knee lift and gets into more drop/drive type lower half mechanics. Lands on-line with an avg. sized stride. Arm works more hand lead out the glove for a more full/loose action that gets up to release at a higher ¾ slot. His fastball worked up to 87, living in the low-mid 80s that flashed some carry playing well up in the zone. Mixed in an 11-5 breaker that he slowed his arm/body on a bit but was able to land for strikes and that played well off the high FB. Was named to the Top Prospects List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
