Leo Kelly is a 2029 3B/RHP with a 5-11 143 lb. frame from Evanston, IL who attends Loyola Academy. Long, lean frame with a high waist and plenty of room to fill out. Recorded a 8.54 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary third baseman with deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process. Displayed a clean funnel out in-front, while showcasing some lateral range and produced arm strength up to 74 mph across the diamond. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked from an abbreviated windup with a slightly coiled leg lift and medium stride length down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-70s for most of his outing, while topping out at 75 mph from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Pitched to contact, got plenty of weak contact and was efficient. Will need to add secondary offering as he continues to refine and add velocity. Right-handed hitter that hits from a wider base with a low hand set and slight leg lift trigger. Intent based stroke with uphill swing path and developing feel for the barrel, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength.
