Cole Cavanaugh is a 2029 C/1B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from High Point, NC who attends Wesleyan Christian Academy. Bigger frame with current strength and the type of frame that will handle more physicality in the coming years. The type of durable build you look for in a primary position catcher. Ran the 60 yard dash in 8.32 seconds. Backstop working from a one-knee down initial stance and using game like actions in the workout. Receives the ball nicely out front with soft hands, leading to clean, quick midline transfer to get to throw. Fuller arm action, getting the hand on top of the ball as he gains ground with accurate and quick foot work. Quality arm strength with excellent accuracy generating feeds up to 74 mph with a pop-time best 2.00 seconds. Stood out with ability to manipulate the strike zone in game action and kept ball in front with ease. RHH working from a medium slightly open stance and an upright posture pre-pitch. Lower handset with good pre-pitch rhythm getting the barrel on plane early. Best bolts were in the opposite field gap where he showed the ability to pepper nice backspin line drives. Hands work the barrel and shows hitterish traits that projects long term with added strength. Defensive skills ahead of the offense at this point but plenty to look forward to in the coming months.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
