Riley Phillips is a 2029 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-2 103 lb. frame from Pfafftown, NC who attends Reagan. Young, developing frame with a high waist and plenty of time to physically mature. Recorded a 9.21 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary left-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch only. Simple, repeatable delivery with nearly belt high leg lift and slight crossbody landing at foot strike. Strike thrower with developing command, fastball worked in the 56-58 mph range from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Flashed developing breaking ball that showed 1-7 shape and gradual depth to it. Will continue to improve with mechanical refinements and additional velocity. Secondary outfielder with a developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate footwork into the fielding process, gathers cleanly and worked into a compact arm action. Delivered fairly accurate throws up to 55 mph during drills. Left-handed hitter that hits from a slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and forward stride into contact. Downhill swing path with developing bat-to-ball skills and feel for the barrel. Mostly middle and opposite field contact, will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing, young prospect that will continue to improve with mechanical refinements and physical maturity.
