Trey Burton is a 2026 2B/RHP/IF with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Ozark, MO, who attends Ozark. A high-waisted and compact frame with a lean build. Ran a 6.88 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who was accurate across the diamond, throwing from a three-quarters arm slot. He had some energy and aggression to his actions, moving around the infield well to both the forehand and backhand. There was some snatch to the hands and the throws come out really easy, His throws were firm through the chest, showing some extension through the swing. Threw 71 mph across the diamond. He also worked out as an outfielder, where he showed a shorter path to release, getting to it with a direct path. He had a quick arm with some whip to it, fielding it out in front with choppy feet in his motion. He had good energy and intent to his actions, with throws at 73 mph. Some extension through release and a higher three-quarters slot through his release with one-hop acc on his throws. He threw 73 mph from the outfield. A right-handed hitter with a spread base, even stance, and higher-set hands. He turns over the barrel and could work to the middle of the field well. He gets the weight on the backside and turns the hip well through the swing. There was some lift and leverage to the middle of the field, with a good operation. Short and on-plane stroke that allowed him to do some damage. Produced a couple of singles in-game. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who worked from the stretch. He had a compact arm action with minimal leg lift. It's a knee-to-knee leg lift before breaking and striding downhill. He threw from a higher three-quarters arm slot. The fastball worked the low- to mid-70s, commanding east/west. He occasionally cut the pitch. He located in the zone with the fastball. He showed a curveball in the upper-60s with an 11-5 shape to it and a tighter snap to it. He induced some weak contact early on. Great student.
