Owen Avery is a 2028 C/RHP/3B/OF with a 6-0 130 lb. frame from Moulrtrie, GA who attends Colquitt County. Recorded an 8.00 60-yard dash. Primary catcher with a lean frame. Begins from a high stance behind the dish and is quick out of the crouch. Shorter arm action and gains ground well. Worked out in the outfield and works through the ball well, carrying the momentum well. 3/4 slot and showed solid arm strength. Also worked out in the infield and showed good hands. Glove plays and has softness to it, throwing accurately across. Right-handed hitter and starts from an even and balanced stance. Creates whip to the barrel and bat stays on a level path through the zone. Swings is hands oriented and has quickness to them. Secondary right-handed pitcher and begins delivery with a leg lift to waist level. Lands on line at foot strike and releases from a mid-3.4 slot. Fastball topped at 75 mph and mixed in an 11-5 shaped curveball, landing it for strikes well.
