Grant Helms is a 2027 1B/RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Harrisburg, NC who attends Hickory Ridge. Lean young athletic build with plenty of strength potential. Right handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a high back elbow start and a hand drop load, gets on plane well and stays on the ball, has solid present bat speed with more to come as he gets stronger, best contact was opposite field gap, stays behind the ball very well and drives it, tends to pull off at present on inside pitches he can pull. 7.42 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, has good agility for the position and plays fast, quick exchanges and spins well, has athleticism. Also worked out in the outfield and there is no reason he can't play on the grass full-time as well, arm really plays well, makes on-line accurate throws, works through the ball low and directional and fields it cleanly. Good bet to keep improving in all areas. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Atlantic Coast Showcase Top Prospect List.
