2023 14U Texas All-State Games
David Kier is a 2027 RHP/C, 3B, SS, OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Jones Creek, TX who attends Brazosport Christian. Long and athletic build with some budding lean strength to the profile, projects well. Ran a 7.68 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, elementary full windup from the middle of the rubber, small sidestep to belt high leg lift, works downhill on his mix, gets slight coil at top of the delivery, gets slight cut on the fastball, developing feel to spin the curveball and slider right now, developing arm strength and speed as of right now. Secondary infielder, some intent in the throws across the diamond, feet work well with some feel for the backhand, accurate throws and overall produced a solid round of infield. Took reps in the outfield, one hand gather to side, tries working through the baseball, working to gain fluidity throughout the entire process. Right-handed hitter, upright in the box with an even and square feet set, level path with loose hands, double toe tap trigger, some solid line drives when barreled up, inconsistent round but flashed it nicely when barreled up. Took some solid in game at bats and collected multiple hits, looks comfortable in the box. Projects nicely with current size and fundamental base. Good student.
