Joey Kim is a 2026 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Torrance, CA who attends West Torrance. Primary outfielder, featuring a medium, athletic frame with room to add. Aggressive to the baseball, taking solid routes while fielding it out front and working through. Shows feel for the pocket with quick transfers to the throwing hand. High three-quarter arm slot with longer arm action, works downhill and stays accurate to both bags. Secondary left-handed pitcher, side step delivery with a belt high leg lift and coil twist. Long strider down the mound, getting extension to the plate and finishing in line. Developing arm speed, throwing out of a three-quarter arm slot with a consistent release point. Has deception, switching up the wind up on occasion. Curveball is his strike out pitch, with one-seven shape and depth. Worked out at first base and impressed with quick feet and a clean glove. Quick transfer with accurate double play feeds. Wide base at the plate with a square stance and stride timing load. Hands drop into a low position into an uphill swing, staying vertical through the zone. Stays connected in the swing with backside rotation. Present hand speed with more to come. Ran a 7.06 sixty-yard dash. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
