Carter Koch is a 2028 3B/RHP with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Greenwood, AR who attends Greenwood. Compact and strong young build. Primary 3B who profiles well there. Gets to the backhand on time and glove is down on time. Showed good glove work in general. Tends to wait back on the ball at times and shuffles once into his throws. Moves well for size but will stick at third. Will need to improve the transfer and release process and just speeding it up. Good arm strength across the diamond and accurate with his throws. Also pitched throwing from a standard 3/4 slot. Drop and drive mechanics with feel to get downhill. Gets out front and times up the arm swing well. Delivery showed good tempo and rhythm to it and repeats motions well. Fastball worked up to 81 with slight run down and in. Went to a curve with bigger break heavy top to bottom and has some slurvey shape to it at times. Located well in the zone and kept hitters off balance. Curve showed good spin traits and should get better. Right-handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Uses a small leg lift and stride into contact for timing and rhythm. Has a strong hand load into contact and rotates well top half of things. Could get into lower even more for more power generation. Will need to be more consistent with the swing path moving forward but has good feel for the barrel. Good Student.
