Yeiden Lopez is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Aguada, PR who attends Ernestina Mendez de Ocheondia. Slender young athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, plays with energy and has quick feet, gets himself in position to field well, clean glove actions and funnels the ball well, arm works well with good projection. Right handed hitter, hits from a wide base with a late deep hand load, has a loose and long swing with some pull side lift, type of approach that will benefit from additional strength. Also pitched, has a compact arm stroke from a 3/4's arm slot, gets down the mound well and repeats his mechanics. Fastball was in the upper 70's and topped out at 80 mph with lots of strikes. Also threw a soft sweeping curveball with some ability to locate that pitch as well. Good student.
