Ace Aguilar is a 2029 SS/RHP, MIF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from La Verne, CA who attends Bonita. Features a medium-sized lean build with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 8.21 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed fundamental and developing footwork. Avg. quickness in the approach but fields it out front and maintains momentum through reception. Full/long arm stroke that got off uphill throws with avg. strength and quality accuracy. At SS, showed some feel for the position. Light feet play in rhythm and get him in good positions. Flashed softness to the hands at reception but botched a couple during his defensive round most notably to the backhand side where he is developing feel. Easy-effort throws across the diamond where he shortened up the arm action. At the plate, sits in an even base with closed feet. Used a leg lift trigger for timing. Path worked more downhill at entry with some length through. Showed developing bat speed but it was a connected swing. On the mound, showed a balanced/repeatable delivery. Side steps into a belt high knee lift with a smaller drop that shows an early push with the lower half. Avg. length stride that works on-line at landing with softer block/finish. Clean/continuous arm stroke to a higher 3/4 slot. Ran the FB up to 74 that exhibited heavier action. Mixed in a developing low 60s slurvy breaker. Worked fast and stayed consistently around the zone during his outing.
