2025 PG Sunshine Texas Showcase (National Showcases Qualifier)
Braylin Caston is a 2028 SS/2B/OF with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Fort Worth, TX who attends Boswell. Smaller, wiry frame with an athletic look, tapered build that has plenty of room to add good lean muscle and strength. Primary shortstop, soft hands that work well out font, some range laterally to either side, compact arm action, shows athleticism with some bounce and arm works well, solid round of infield and projects to improve on the dirt. Secondary outfielder, one hand gather to the side with limited momentum through the baseball, tick lower three-quarters slot release, side spin at release, two piece arm action. Switch hitter, mirrored stance, open with high hands, deep drive off backside, rocks to it, has some present bat speed, hands work in space better from the right side, developing timing but pieces here to improve.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
