2025 PG Atlantic Coast High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Zach Hykin is a 2028 RHP/1B with a 6-3 203 lb. frame from Arden, NC who attends Christ School. Long and lean young pitcher's build with lots of physical projection remaining. Works exclusively from the stretch on the mound with a belt high leg raise and a longer stride down the mound, medium length arm action to a 3/4's arm slot, has a loose and whippy arm action that projects well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with more there in tin the future, has some cutting action glove side and some ride up in the zone. Hard curveball was a good pitch with sharp 12/6 downer bite at times and solid feel for throwing it to spots.. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium stance with a low hand set out from his body, trigger tended to be late with weight staying on his back side, got some balls in the air and has the strength to occasionally impact the ball. 7.78 runner in the sixty. Secondary first baseman on defense, is a big target with some first step quickness and agility for his size, made accurate throws. Outstanding student. Named to the PG Atlantic Coast HS All-State Games Top Prospect List.
