Mason Hickman is a 2027 RHP/C/2B with a 5-4 127 lb. frame from Arlington, TX who attends Pantego Christian Academy. Smaller well proportioned athletic build, has some strength in his hips and lower half. Slow paced delivery with a compact arm action, repeats his simple mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 68 mph, mostly straight with occasional sink and run. Slider was his best pitch, gets out front on the release and gets some two-plane depth to it, wrapped his change a bit in back but maintained his arm speed well. Filled up the strike zone for three innings and competed well. Right handed hitter, hits from a hanging front leg load which leaves him late at times, long and loose swing with an early hand release, contact to all fields. 8.37 runner in the sixty. Worked out both in the infield and behind the plate and looked pretty solid at catcher especially, gains ground well into his throws and has nice lower half actions, exchange is clean and in sync.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
