Owen Liles is a 2027 RHP/2B/3B with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from South Chesterfield, VA who attends Thomas Dale. Lean young build with lots of time and room to get stronger. Works exclusively from the stretch from the first base side of the rubber, quick leg raise start to his delivery, hands start away from his body and go into a deep takeaway in back, 3/4's arm slot coming through, can get over his front side more consistently. Fastball topped out at 72 mph with some cutting action, also threw a short slider and change up. Threw strikes with all his pitches and competed well. Worked out in the infield, step by step actions to the ball, tends to get his glove down late, developing arm strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance and gets into his lower half well, gets the barrel on plane well and makes consistent solid contact, works the middle of the field, showed good barrel feel as a hitter.
