Jayden Smith is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Heflin, AL who attends Faith Christian. Smith ran a 7.32 Sixty Yard Dash. Primary Middle infielder with a tall lean frame with room of additional strength in the future. Fundamentally sound shortstop with solid footwork and some lateral range side to side. He gets the glove down late catching the ball cleanly with quicker transfers and accurate throws across the diamond. Secondary right handed pitcher with a longer drop step into a mid hip height leg lift. He gains ground down the slope with some stiffness within the front side at landing. The arm stroke is long and loose coming from a higher three quarters release point. There was some deception throughout the operation. The fastball showed plus run through the zone commanding it well to both sides of the plate. For his secondary Jayden mixed in a tight SL that peaked at 58MPH that still looked to be in development. Right handed hitter with a medium slightly open base with a toe tap trigger. The swing is long through the zone as he impacts the ball mainly to the pull side. Smith is a good student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
