2024 Ohio Valley Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Will Hickey is a 2027 SS/RHP/OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from Ottawa Hills, OH who attends Ottawa Hills. Hickey works from a medium build with additional room to fill out and add strength as a '27 prospect. Worked from a variety of defensive spots, primary IF displayed refining footwork with range up the middle. Topped out at 72 mph across the diamond. From the OF, did a nice job of working through the baseball with developing carry behind throws up to 69 mph. On the mound, effectively mixed a FB/CB/CH arsenal releasing from 3/4 slot. Up tempo delivery to keep hitters uncomfortable in the box. Located the FB to all quadrants of the zone, topping out once again at 72 mph. CB registered at 1775 rpm. Offensively, started from a wider base with a low back elbow. Opposite field approach with further room to get the barrel extended and generate impact out in front. Posted an exit velo of 74 mph. Ran a 7.80 sixty yard dash.
