Spencer Roby is a 2026 RHP/OF with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Atascadero, CA who attends Paso Robles. Features a taller athletic build with projection and some present strength. Ran a 7.92 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed proper fundamentals but still developing actions. Avg. quickness/aggressiveness in the approach with some slow down into reception breaking momentum. Fields it clean but slightly deep and at times off the wrong foot. Present glove tap before getting off throws with avg. strength/carry for his level that were uphill and one-hop accurate. At the plate, operates from a taller stance and shows an easy/quiet lower-half move. Uses a smaller lift as the hands tip the barrel into an upright/tipped launch. Gets off his backside well. Turns the barrel on an uphill path with avg. bat/hand speed for his level. Some inconsistent POCs throughout his round but when he caught it out front he produced quality FBs through the middle of the field. On the mound, shows a low-effort and repeatable operation. Smaller moves and positions with the lower-half from lift to sit to drive but works on-line. Arm path worked more hand lead with medium length out the back and worked up to a 3/4 slot. Avg. armspeed where the FB was up to 80, living upper 70s where it exhibited some natural running action, inducing weak GBs. Showed confidence in his low 70s breaker that had 10-4 shape, landing it in-zone consistently. Also flashed an effective fading CH as well. Consistent strikes throughout his outing and worked fast.
