Brody Allyn is a 2024 RHP/2B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Highland Mills New York, NY who attends Monroe Woodbury. Lean, slender frame with a high waist, long limbs and plenty of room to add strength. Primary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates belt high leg lift into balance and good lower half movements down the slope. Fastball worked in the low-to-mid 70s for the duration of his outing and topped out at 76 mph from an over-the-top arm slot. Developing command of the strike zone with some arm-side life to the fastball, will continue to improve command with proper mechanical adjustments. Flashed promising slider with solid spin profile and some horizontal tilt to it. Will continue to refine that secondary offering with additional velocity and adjustments. Secondary infielder with a developing defensive skill set. Deliberate footwork into the fielding process with some lateral range and the ability to make the play on the run. Showed ability to make accurate throws up to 75 mph across the diamond during drills. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, slightly narrow stance with a high, tight hand set and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates deep hand loading mechanism and slightly rotational lower movements into launch. Middle-of-the field approach with some natural lift to his swing. Displayed developing feel for the barrel with occasional line drives to the middle and pull sides of the field. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Developing prospect with physical upside that will continue to improve with proper mechanical adjustments on both sides of the ball and additional strength. Excellent Student.
