Cristian Mares is a 2025 SS/RHP, MIF, OF with a 5-9 155 lb. frame from San Diego, CA who attends St. Augustine. Compact build with good projectable length that can fill out as he adds strength. Ran a 7.33 in the 60-yard dash. Infielder, quick actions and good plays on the move. Manipulates slots and made plays in the hole. Right-handed pitcher, full arm circle and clean mid three-quarter release. Athletic, smooth delivery with heavy arm-side run to the fastball. Showed a quality changeup with two-plan sharpness. Landed a late slider for strikes and pounded the outside corner. Right-handed hitter, wide base and even setup. Loads into the backside well with some occasional turn to the pull side. Solid feel for the barrel and two-way promise with the arm. Very good student.
