Jack Phillips is a 2023 RHP/IF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from City Island, NY who attends Salesian. Slender young build with lots of room to get stronger. Has good rhythm and tempo to his delivery with a compact arm action and a low effort release. Fastball worked in the mid-60's and topped out at 67 mph, really fills up the zone well with his fastball and challenges hitters. Also threw a soft curveball with similar command and feel as his fastball. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow base with a tight hand load, has a short and compact swing with some uphill plane through the zone, turns his lower half well but tends to stay on his back side. 8.23 runner in the sixty. Plays infield when not on the mound, throws from a lower slot with a quick release on his throws, best suited for second base. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
