John Nyman is a 2028 3B/RHP, 2B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-7 155 lb. frame from Vail, AZ who attends Mica Mountain. Features a smaller lean build. Ran a 8.20 60-yd dash. In the INF, showed fundamental actions. Clean footwork and glovework. Hesitant to the backhand side at times. Showed a quick transfer to release that got off accurate throws with avg. strength for his level. In the OF, showed avg. quickness to the baseball in his approach where he fields it out front but misplayed a few. Made higher arcing throws to the bag where he showed similar arm strength. At the plate, works from even/squared stance. Simple trigger with minimal waisted movements. Path works more direct at entry and levels out into contact with quality bat speed. Produced quality LDs to all fields during his BP round. On the mound, side steps into a mid-chest knee tuck that gets him turned closed. Avg. length stride that lands on-line. Compact AA that works clean to a 3/4 slot. Worked the FB up to 82 and showed a low 60s breaker he landed for strikes.
