2023 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues/Wed)
Kyle McDonnell is a 2026 SS/2B/3B with a 5-7 120 lb. frame from Colorado Springs, CO who attends Pine Creek. McDonnell worked exclusively from his primary MIF spot defensively, showcasing a sound buildup and approach through the baseball with developing glove work and arm strength across the diamond up to 73 mph. He controls the body well with room to shorten up the footwork and speed up the transfers. Expect arm strength to continue developing as McDonnell physically matures and adds strength. Offensively, the righty started from a narrow slightly open stance with a high hand set. He attempted to create lift in the bat path and get the barrel out in front, posting an exit velo of 78 mph. Ran a 7.74 sixty yard dash. Great student.
