2025 PG California High School All-State Games (Invite Only)
Matthew Daines is a 2028 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Glendora, CA who attends Damien. Medium athletic build with room to add strength. Ran a 7.39 in the 60. Clean footwork and steady hands defensively, showing some carry and accuracy across the diamond. On the mound, worked from a side step into a mid-chest knee lift with a shorter arm action, producing fastballs in the mid-upper 70s with sneaky life and good feel to the glove side. Mixed in a slurvy breaker that missed bats with depth and shape. At the plate, displayed an even base with easy hand quickness, staying on-barrel with a short uphill path and consistently driving balls into the gaps while getting off the backside well. Named to the 2025 PG California High School All-State Games top prospect list. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
