2025 PG 13U National Showcase
Raylen Hunter is a 2029 OF/RHP/MIF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Pacolet, SC who attends Broome. Smaller young athletic build with the beginnings of some compact strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with a low back elbow load and a small leg raise trigger, keeps his load and trigger simple and was on time both in batting practice and in games, swing is short and direct and he showed very good feel for the barrel, projectable hitting tools. 6.75 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense who also has tools/skills in the middle infield. Attacks the ball aggressively in the outfield, has advanced footwork for his age, throws from a high 3/4's arm slot with one hop accuracy and some carry. Showed the same type of athleticism in the infield with soft hands and range to both sides. Going to be a strong defensive player all over the field. Also pitched, works from a full wind up with a high leg raise start, loose 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was in the mid-70's with some running life. Dropped his slot some on a sweeping two-plane curveball. Showed nice feel for his change up with late fading action. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
