2024 Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Wrigley Cox is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Fort Collins, CO who attends Rocky Mountain. Tall and lean athletic build with lots of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a small leg lift timer, not always consistent in his swing and barrel path but has present bat speed and can impact a ball hard when he's on time and on plane, power really played well in the games with lift and carry to the pull side, very projectable as a hitter as he continues to get stronger. 7.17 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has good fundamental footwork and works around balls well, best making plays on the run and showing has athleticism, has good arm strength and made accurate throws. Also pitched, athleticism shows well on the mound, in his mechanics and in his ability to field his position. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with more velocity there, gets some ride up in the zone and very good running life down. Slider was thrown for strikes with tight spin an 10/4 shape. Attacks hitters early in counts and has an idea how to pitch. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine Rocky Mountain Showcase Top Prospect List.
