DJ ( Dalton) Betzsold is a 2027 OF/RHP, 3B, UT with a 6-2 155 lb. frame from Yorba Linda, CA who attends Mater Dei. Primary OF, lean, athletic build with plenty of room to fill in to the 6’2” frame. Works from high slot. Running the fastball 76-77 (up to 1832 RPM), elevated for punch out. Curveball 68-70 (2018) landed for strikes and got a K, breaking ball showed more lateral action in second inning of work. Interesting look for primary outfielder, could end up on the mound. In the outfield, the feet work direct to the fielding point. Glove works way off to the side. Carries the moemtnum gained when into the throws. Low effort arm swing with solid accuracy to both bases. Right-handed hitter, moderate base and low hand set. Initial move is a small leg lift with strong hands and natural leverage from the length that the frame presents. Swing is hands and torso driven but got it on the barrel a bunch throughout. 7.32 60-yard. Excellent student.
