Cooper Ferris is a 2025 C/RHP, 3B, OF, UT with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Leonardtown, MD who attends Leonardtown High School. Medium frame with good projection and some life to his actions. A lot of time to add physicality for sure. Primary position C, working from a deep slightly offset stance and aggressive overall approach. Glove works well to quick midline transfer and short actions to release. Does a good job of gaining ground as he squares to the target. Accurate and repeatable feeds on the bag with a pop time best 2.29 on throws up to 69 mph. Reps on IF/OF with solid mechanics and showing accurate throws with carry up to 80 mph here. RHP too, using full windup and stationary hands at belt breaking into abbreviated inline arm path. Turns aggressively in the core to generate arm speed. FB is true and up to 74 mph with lower spin traits. SL in the mid-60s with subtle break and workable CH showing tumbling action. RHH starting from an even and crouched stance. Inline handset with high back elbow working bat head to an on-plane path with the pitch. Pretty solid feel for the barrel with emerging power. Nice job of working the middle of the field and best contact was in the oppo gap. Found some loud barrels in live ABs. Good student.
