Ryan Morrison is a 2024 RHP/3B, SS with a 6-0 155 lb. frame from Hampstead, MD who attends Gerstell Academy. Lean build with medium frame and some nice projection to add overall physicality. Primary position RHP, working exclusively from the stretch, coming set inline with hands at the belt. Breaks into a bit of a stabbing offline arm path as he accelerates through a 3/4 arm angle. Creates good distance down the slope and repeats mechanics quite well. Fills up the strike zone and once secondary offerings make a jump he will have a complete repertoire. FB with some tilt up to 81 mph with solid spin traits. Vertical CB with spin up to 2,250+ rpms in the mid-60s. SL with sweeping action in the upper-60s and 2,000 rpms. Has a good feel for the mound. Secondary IF, with a deep gather and full arm action creating accurate throws up to 81 mph here as well. RHH working with an even stance, high back elbow and stiff hand action. Bat plane leading to bottom of the ball contact a bit too often and was consistently late timing wise. Good bat speed and strength, just needs to refine things to get to the power more often. Good athlete with two-way potential who is also a very good student.
