2025 PG Fall Northern California Showcase
Angelo Garza is a 2027 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis West. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 7.71 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has athletic actions moving laterally and fielded the back hand cleanly, quick release on his throws and has some arm strength, made accurate throws and threw well on the run, solid all around actions that project bast at third base moving forward. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with with a high and deep hand load, tends to drift over the plate into his swing, middle of the field line drive approach with some present bat speed and strength at impact, can improve his balance and direction into his swing but has the strength to project offensively. Also showed some talent on the mound. Works from the stretch with a 3/4's arm action, gets into his lower half well and has a loose arm action. Fastball topped out at 82 mph and was thrown for strikes. Slider was a good pitch for him with good tilt and bite in the low 70's that created some swing/miss. Named to the Perfect Game Fall Northern California Showcase Top Prospect List.
