Ryder Dougherty is a 2026 SS/RHP with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Rego Park, NY who attends St Marys. Lean, medium frame with tons of room to physically mature and add strength. Recorded a 5.29 second forty-yard dash time. Primary middle-infielder with a quick first step and plenty of lateral range to either side. Showed bounce in his step, funneled cleanly out in-front and used his athleticism to get into the proper positions with his footwork on both the backhand and forehand. Delivered accurate throws from multiple arm angles and recorded arm strength up to 85 mph across the diamond during drills. Maintained good posture and showed off the quick twitch athleticism on the charge play. Right-handed hitter that hits from an upright, even base with a high, tight hand set and negative toe-tap trigger. Compact, slightly lofted stroke with quickness to his hands and feel for the barrel. Simple gap-to-gap approach with budding power that will continue to improve as he add strength. Intriguing overall athlete with tons of physical upside remaining. Good Student. Named to the 2024 Northeast Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
