Reid Bates is a 2028 OF/RHP/IF with a 6-0 140 lb. frame from Burleson, TX who attends Centennial. Wiry high waisted young build with lots of growing ahead of him. 7.69 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, still developing his actions through the ball, throws from a lower arm slot, makes accurate soft throws. Also worked out in the infield, throws from a similar lower slot, tends to get his glove down late fielding, developing arm strength and ability to throw on the run. Right handed hitter, has an upper body rotational swing from a small leg raise and stride, hand drop load to start his swing, tends to be late getting the barrel into the zone, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength and better swing connection. Also pitched, slow paced upper body dominant delivery with a low 3/4's to near side arm release slot. Fastball was in the upper 60's to go with a soft sweeping slider. Good student.
