Aidan Abeyta is a 2028 RHP/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Albuquerque, NM who attends Manzano. Features a lean frame with room to add more. Throws exclusively out of the stretch. Shows repeatable operation with a 3/4 slot. Fastball worked up to 82 mph. Showed confidence in low-70’s slider with sweeping action. Throws it early and often. Upper-60’s curveball has 12-6 action. Looks attack the zone and work quickly. Worked out on the infield. Has some athleticism on the dirt. Shows decent range with a smooth transfer. Can make the routine play. Will change arm slots as needed. Reached 80 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with an open base. Shifts weight with a toe tap trigger. Swings on a tight path to contact with some hand speed. Flashed some feel for the barrel. More impact to come as the frame adds strength. Ran an 8.15 60-yard dash.
