Luke Ayers is a 2028 3B/RHP/C with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Auburn, WA who attends Auburn Riverside. Larger build with good length and strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a crouched narrow base with a toe tap trigger into his swing, has good strength and bat speed in his swing, slight uphill swing path, turns the barrel well out front and stayed well timed, projectable hitting tools. 5.06 runner in the forty. Primary third baseman on defense, works through the ball well, tends to bend at the waist to field, has good arm strength and made accurate throws, solid for third base. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch with a mid chest leg raise start, has energy down the mound, gets over his front side well with good extension. Fastball topped out at 84 mph with good carry through the zone. Also threw a low 70's slider with some tight spin and sharpness at times. Very good student. Named to the PG Northwest Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
